EDUCATION

Ph.D. November 21, 1990 Main Astronomical Observatory of Ukraine. Heliophysics and Physics of the Solar System.
``Studying solar photosphere brightness oscillations using photodiode arrays''. This involved the development of two high-precision solar photometers. I designed the photometers to detect small amplitude (about 0.01%) brightness oscillations on the solar disk with moderate spatial resolution. Installed at the largest in Europe Crimean Solar Tower Telescope (1.2 m diameter Coelostat Mirror), they provided data observations for comparison spectra oscillations with those taken from the SMM mission and from the South Pole brightness measurements, and were used to study low and intermediate degree solar modes and internal differential rotation of the Sun.
